Dr Channa Fernando

MBBS, FRACGP

Dr Fernando is a General Practitioner with over 10 years of professional healthcare experience within Australia, and over a decade of practise conducted overseas in two other countries. He is a fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) in addition to his MBBS qualifications. Prior to working within the Adelaide CBD, he worked as a rural GP in the Riverlands region wherein he advanced his rural and remote medicine skills. He has a special interest for chronic disease management such as diabetes, the field of cardiology, men’s health and minor surgical procedures. Dr Fernando is a family man, who enjoys spending his free time with his family as well as being active through cycling and jogging.

Dr Ramesh M

MBBS, FRACGP

Dr Ramesh is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He got his primary medical qualification (MBBS) in 2000. He has 15 years of experience in general practice, including 5 years of working experience in rural general practice, Waikerie.

Dr Ramesh enjoys working in all areas of general practice with a particular interest in the following areas.

  • Skin cancer screening and management
  • Minor surgical procedures (wedge resection of the toenail, Implanon insertion and removal and excision of skin lesions)
  • Iron infusion

He speaks English, Tamil, and Sinhalese

Dr Uditha Perera

MBBS, FRACGP, Dip in Child Health

Dr Perera is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.  She obtained her MBBS degree in 1999 from the University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka.   She has undertaken her Post Graduate Diploma in Child Health in Australia in 2009.

Dr Perera has clinical experience of over 23 years as a medical practitioner.  She has worked in emergency, paediatrics, general medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology at Modbury Hospital and Lyell McEwin Hospital.  She has worked as a rural GP in Barossa.

Dr Perera has special interests in obstetric shared care, women’s health (including Implanon insertion & removal), paediatrics and chronic disease management.

Dr Anantheswaran Tharmalingam (Esh)

MBBS. DCH. FRACGP

Dr Esh is a Srilankan-born graduate of the University of Peradeniya, Srilanka. He moved to Australia in 2012 after working in Srilanka for 12 years in general practice, cardiology and the intensive care unit. Before moving to Adelaide, he worked as a country GP in Laura for five years.

He is interested in all general practice areas, as this is an essential skill of a country GP. Dr Esh has a Special interest in the following areas.

  • Chronic disease management(diabetes. Asthma, heart disease, rheumatological conditions and chronic kidney disease)
  • Mental health
  • Skin cancer screening and management
  • Minor surgical procedures( skin cancer excision, skin lump removal, Implanon removal and insertion)
  • Iron infusion 
  • Lifestyle medicine
  • Men’s Health
  • Travel Medicine
  • Aged care
  • Preventive health

Outside work, he is interested in medium-distance running. He frequently participates in fun-running events. 

Dr Chrishanthie Edirisuriya

MBBS FRACGP DCH

Dr Chrishanthie Edirisuriya is a highly experienced general practitioner, with over 17 years of experience in Australia Her special interests include Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology. You will be welcomed, well looked after and impressed by her warm, thorough and professional nature of medical practice. Her hobbies are playing Cricket and Carrom. She speaks English, Sinhalese and Tamil.
